4. Development

Design Development Phase

It is what it says. The design gets developed.

All the pieces are known and now get arranged in the right order.

You have knowledge of every component, where it comes from, who makes it, the serial number and the specifications and where it will go in the design.

EXAMPLE:

If you are designing a recording studio, you know to isolate the floor from the walls and you understand sound transmission control and the acoustics necessary to prevent reflectivity, reverberation, and dropouts of frequencies.

You know the requirements of amperage and voltage.

You know materials to used of absorption and diffusion and the manufacturers of them. You know their availability.

You may use a live-end/dead-end system in recording booths and mixing rooms.

You may include the specifications of computers used, software and hardware, including stands and microphones. You may prefer Protools for audio and LogicPro for midi. Everything must be included, designed, and accounted for. including installation.

You may have specific preferences for keyboards and/or other instruments, which you include in your design.

You don’t need sounds from HVAC or anything else and you must know how to prevent ambient sound pollution in your pristine recording environment.

EXAMPLE:

If you are designing a career as a recording artist, you need to be specific with everything concomitant with your vision. It is time well spent, to bring ideas in the mind into the real world.

Building one’s image is necessary to be professionally planned and maintained.
