Confidence

What Is Confidence?

Confidence is the belief that you can do something well.

How well?  As good as it needs to be at the time it is done.

Confidence is a belief

Confidence is having faith.

High confidence is certainty, the certainty that you can do something specific.

Do what?

Knowing that you can do something and having no doubts is high confidence.

Let’s look at belief.

Is it part of every religion, the factor of belief?

Is having faith another principle of religion?

Certainty

Certainty transcends faith and belief.

Where does certainty come from?

Knowledge, knowing how to do something and all things related to it contribute to certainty.

Control is paramount to any successful action.  Unsuccessful actions are lacking in control.

“Repetition is the mother of skill” – Tony Robbins

Successful actions, repeated over time, result in confidence.

Knowing you are better than what’s needed and more than the requirements of a task, coupled with successful experience can bring about certainty.

Confidence is a skill.

Being in a band that performs six nights per week, for many months, without being fired from a gig, and being paid for each gig, can and does build high confidence.

What else happens? Fear of failure disappears.  Fear of audiences disappears.  Fear of nightclub owners disappears.  Why?  They caused no harm and were not a threat. They were part of your winning at “the game”.

Designing a house that gets built can boost confidence.  Designing houses for a development of 400 homes which get built, builds high confidence. Designing a mansion that is built is a boost to confidence.
